John Broekman

John Broekman was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. His early environment influenced his relaxed personality, curiosity, and motivation to stay active in both learning and life. He graduated from Bishop Kenny High School, where he began developing a strong foundation in academics and community involvement. After high school, he moved to Fort Myers to attend Florida Gulf Coast University, where he pursued a degree in Business Management. During this time, he joined a fraternity, which became his first meaningful experience with leadership and teamwork.

After completing his first year, John returned to Jacksonville and transferred to the University of North Florida. He assumed greater responsibility within the fraternity, becoming the third-highest-ranking member. He participated in philanthropic initiatives, including raising funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and donating blood each semester through Oneblood’s Big Red Bus. He graduated in 2020 with honors, earning a 3.8 GPA while majoring in Political Science and minoring in Business Management. He was also a member of the Economics Society, which helped him gain a broader understanding of political and financial systems.

John's professional background spans politics, finance, and logistics. He worked on campaigns at the local, state, and national levels, including organizing a rally for President Trump in Jacksonville, where he met him in person. In logistics, he joined Magellan Logistics and transformed a $50,000 account into one exceeding $500,000. He also worked at TEKsystems and was promoted to a senior position just three months after being hired, reflecting his ability to adapt quickly and deliver results.

Outside of work, John has a strong interest in electronic dance music and has attended more than 100 music festivals across the country since 2012. He stays active through regular gym sessions and biking, enjoys competitive PC gaming, and spends time fishing or relaxing by the beach with friends.
